The Girl in the Window

The Girl in the Window
by Renee Pawlish
Amber likes to watch her neighbors from her window.  She is in the middle of a divorce and she particularly likes to watch her neighbor Caleb as he leaves and comes home from work.  Everyone knows that she has a crush on him.  Amber thinks that Caleb and his wife Erin have a perfect life and she is jealous.

One day talking to a friend she comments "I'd kill for that kind of life."  The next day Erin is dead.  Soon cops are digging around into Erin's death.  Amber is a suspect, so is Caleb and Amber's soon to be ex-husband.

Erin is devastated from her failing marriage and soon to be divorce.  She has been avoiding signing the divorce papers to make everything official.  She has quit her job, and basically just stays home, does nothing, except watch the neighbors thru the window when she isn't watching television.  After Erin is murdered, she starts asking questions, as she wants to know who murdered Erin.

I enjoyed this story.  It was a bit of a mystery of who had killed Erin.  And it did remind me of "A Girl on a Train."  I would read this author again.
